Usain Bolt begins training again

The Jamaican Usain Bolt will start training again on Monday if the weather permits, according to AFP. He will start his training again to get back in shape after he ended his 2010 season early due to back injury to be able to defend his title as a world record holder.

Usain Bolt’s head track coach, Glenn Mills, confirmed on Saturday that Bolt is now ready to start training again with his Racers Track Club teammates “Yes we will start training on Monday, weather permitting” he said.

The club where Usain Bolt trains is based in Kingston Jamaica on the grounds of the University of the West Indies in Mona. This is against Bolt since the weather forecast is predict rain for Monday and when Mills was questioned on alternative places for training he said “outdoors is the only place we have to train so if it rains we won’t be able to start and we will just have to wait until the weather clears up.” 13 people were reported dead by the rains from the tropical storms in Jamaica where Usain Bolt is at the moment.

Usain Bolt may retire after the 2012 Olympic games

The world and Olympic 100- and 200-meters champion Usain Bolt told Australian media that he may retire from sprinting after the 2012 London Games. The Australian Associated Press quoted the champion saying “My coach may want to go to another one but we will determine how I am going because I definitely want to retire on top, like Michael Johnson,” the retired Merican 400 m world record holder. Bolt also explained his aim to the media “For me the aim was always to become a legend in the sport and, depending on my titles, I think they will make me a legend so I’m working on that and afterthat I’ll try something new in the sport,” he said.

When Bolt asked Johnsson why he retired Johnsson told him that he had done everything he wanted to so there was no reason to continue.  Bolt- “He was on top so I’m thinking if I’m on top and I’ve done everything I want to do maybe I’ll get out.” When asked what he will do instead Bolt told the Australian media “I have said the long jump but I think I’ll do something else before that,” said the 24-year-old. Lightning Bold is also considering turning to football and the Jamaican told British radio media that he’d like to go after a professional soccer career. “I always watch those guys and I think I could be a professional footballer,” Bolt told BBC Radio Five Live.  However, the superstar reckons that he will run and compete another 4 years and he believes that he can lower his existing world record time to 9.4.

Bolt is heading back to Jamaica to prepare for the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Corea. He has therefore chosen to skipp the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi and according  to Reuters Bolt said” “A lot of top athletes are skipping this one because the world championships are very important,” he said, adding that he expected Jamaica would still dominate the sprints. “Anybody in Jamaica who decides to go is going to be good because the depth is getting bigger and there are a lot of youngsters coming up.”
