Jamaica Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt wont his first race of the year 14 January at the Camperdown Classic in Kingston, Jamaica. The world’s fastest man and Jamaicas sensation, Usain Bolt, started off the season with an admirable time of 46.35 seconds in the 400m run.

After only 150 meters Usain Bolt was already ahead of the pack and increased the gap when there was only 100 meters left until the finishing line. The leader of the trailing pack Yohan Blake was around 10 meters behind the superstar Usain Bolt. With about 80-50 meters reaming of the race, Bolt was aware of his advance and turned his head to the right and to the left with a big smile on his face winning this race for the second time. When crossing the finishline Bolt immediately went to the side of the track, lay down on his back where he received a massage from his masseur.

Bolt was pleased after the race as he opened the last season with 46.9 s and also said that “ the first 300 meters of the race was good, but the last 100 meters need some work, I am not really in the best of shape, but I’m happy I got through it.”

More than 2, 000 international athletes were present at the Stadium East during the race where Yohan Blake placed 2nd in 46.88 s and Ricardo Chambers third in 46.98.

This was a good Saturday for Bold and we hope that he will preform as well as his next race at University of the West Indies (UWI) Invitational.
